Rotary Foundation Alumni
Rotary Foundation Educational Programs have a way of forging bonds between alumni and Rotarians that can last a lifetime. Former Ambassadorial Scholars, Rotary World Peace Fellows, and Group Study Exchange team members are often interested in joining a Rotaract or Rotary club, or a Foundation alumni association. Many Rotaract and Rotary clubs, in turn, are interested in inviting alumni to become members.
More than 105,000 people call themselves Rotary Foundation Alumni. They include former participants of the following programs:
- Ambassadorial Scholarships
- Carl P. Miller Discovery Grants
- Group Study Exchange
- Rotary Grants for University Teachers
- Rotary Peace and Conflict Studies Program
- Rotary World Peace Fellowships (Rotary Centers for International Studies in peace and conflict resolution)
- Volunteer Service Grants
These people are eminently qualified to be Rotarians, so all Rotary clubs need to focus on and be encouraged to embrace alumni as members. Let us reach out to them. Let us continue to invest in our foundation alumni by giving them the opportunity to serve others through Rotary.
You are kindly requested to invite all recipients of the Rotary Foundation Programs sponsored by your club in order to reach our aim in recruiting them in Rotary or Rotaract clubs.

RC SAIDA: Water Filters for Public Schools
We, in Rotary Club Saida-Lebanon District 2450 are very pleased to share with you our project to provide a filtration for drinking water in 18 public schools in our town Saida. This project was approved by Mrs Bahia Hariri, Lebanon's Minister of Education which is also the MP of our town. The cost for each school is US$ 2,500. So far we did four schools with the help of other Rotary Clubs in Lebanon. I cannot describe in short words the positive impact of our project on our social image and our reputation. Everybody in Saida now talking about Rotary and the difference made starting such a crucial project for the health of our kids in the public schools.
We would like you to share with us three or four schools (cost US$ 10,000 maximum) if possible, or whatever you decide. The name of the club who donates for the project will be engraved on the site. We will be very proud to see the name of your club sharing with us such a very important project. I have available some photos about this and other projects of our club and I will be very glad to answer any question you have.
RC Saida was founded in 1954 and we now have 28 members. Thank you in advance and I will be very greatful for your prompt answer.
Best Rotarian greetings
